Advanced Mechatronics

The engineering office AMSD is a technology company specialized in research and development in the areas of mechatronics and mechanical engineering. Our approach is to combine state-of-the-art methods in numerical development (CAD, CAE) and experiments (e.g. prototype testing) in order to reach the required targets effectively and efficiently.

Calculation

The core competences of AMSD are calculation and simulation services in the field of mechanical engineering and mechatronics. We use modern simulation tools for 1D simulation (e.g. longitudinal vehicle dynamics), multi-body systems (e.g. 3D vehicle dynamics) and finite element models (e.g. strength calculation) for product development.

Design

Especially in early development stages, calculation and simulation results often lead to design changes of components and assemblies. AMSD has the know-how and state-of-the-art CAD tools to carry out design changes directly and in line with customer requirements. Furthermore, we are able to manage and carry out the design process of completely new products.

Measurement

Measurement campaigns carried out by AMSD are not only applied for the functional proof of the product according to the specifications but the results are also used for load assumptions for future product developments. Additionally, measurements are an important basis for the verification of our simulation models. Beside standard measurement technologies we also apply measurement equipment which is developed in house.
